ROWAN - Y4/Y5
Narrative Poetry
To round off our successful learning about Narrative Poetry, Rowan class watched some poetry read by the amazing Michael Rosen and took on board his tips for reading aloud.
The children really enjoyed his enthusiastic performances and tried to inject expression into their own poetry performances.

Science
On Wednesday our year 4 children enjoyed recreating the human digestive system by mashing banana and weetabix with a fork (teeth) and spoon (tongue). This ‘mush’ then travelled into the stomach (plastic bag) before travelling through the intestines (tights). It was poured into the rectum before pooping out of the anus (paper cup). The children thoroughly enjoyed this hands-on experiment and learned a lot.
