Governance
Governing bodies provide strategic leadership and accountability in schools.
The governing body has four key functions:
- Setting the Vision and Strategic direction for the school.
- Holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils.
- Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.
- Engaging with school stakeholders.
