Communication with Parents
Regular school newsletters are produced. These are intended to be informative. Class newsletters are distributed each term so that parents can support their children’s learning.
We do have formal arrangements for parents meeting with teachers, and we are always available to see any parent who may wish to see a teacher or the headteacher. Please do not hesitate to call in if you have any concern at all. Obviously the teachers are fully occupied with their children during school hours, but it is usually possible to see you after school hours or, exceptionally, very briefly before school starts. The headteacher may be at either site, so please ring if you do need to see her.
Parent consultations take place twice a year on a more formal basis when appointments are arranged to see parents individually. A written report of your child’s achievements is sent home annually, currently this is in July.
There is an active school association: Brinkworth Earl Danby’s School Association (BEDSA).
